Data Archives

ICPSR, a division of the Institute of Social Research at the University of Michigan, collects, preserves and provides access to social and behavioral research. This archive contains over 500,00 research files and 16 specialized collections, including health and mental health. Users can search by keyword or browse by topic, geography and series. Results include datasets by government agencies, non-profits, and independent researchers. Availability of the data depends on the source, and some of the data is only available through a subscription to ICPSR.

The Dataverse Network Project is an initiative of the Institute for Quantitative Social Science (IQSS) at Harvard University. This is an archive of research data from disciplines across the globe, and contains the largest collection of social science data. When searching the Harvard Dataverse Network, the results will contain data from multiple disciplines worldwide. Available resources include data sets, complementary files, and cataloging information. File formats and documentation vary by project.
